Acclaimed American Four-Piece Rock Group, White Denim, Come To Liverpool This February.

Following two instantly sold out shows at London’s Moth Club last year, White Denim return in 2019 for a European tour in February which includes a show at the Liverpool o2 Academy.

White Denim will be touring with their sensational latest album Performance, which was released via City Slang to widespread acclaim including Mojo’s “Album of the Month”, not to mention glowing reviews from Q, The Guardian, The Times, The Line of Best Fit and Uncut with singles Magazin and It Might Get Dark shooting straight onto the 6Music A-list and spending multiple weeks there.

The Cubical’s Dan Wilson Launches His Solo Album, Victims, At Liverpool’s Studio 2 On February 28th.

The Liverpool Arts Society and Studio 2 Parr Street are extremely excited to bring you the album launch of one of Liverpool’s most unique voices. Dan Wilson of The Cubical brings you his new album, Victims, with The Counterfactuals. In an old school fashion, you’ll get the full album live, from start to finish. and it doesn’t stop there, as well as your ticket you’ll receive a signed copy of the Victims vinyl.

Dan Wilson and The Counterfactuals’ album Victims is due out in March 2019. The first single, titled Leave My Baby Alone, a snarling warning to do just that was released in October 2018.

The Wailers Announce U.K. Headline Tour In March 2019.

The legendary Wailers have announced a huge U.K. headline tour for March 2019 where they will perform 14 dates across some of the country’s major cities, including a night at the o2 Academy in Liverpool on the 13th March.

The Wailers continue their quest to bring reggae to the forefront of the world’s stage.  Led by renowned bassist and founder Aston “Familyman” Barrett and joined by original Wailers guitarist Donald Kinsey as well as saxophonist Glen DaCosta, The Wailers give audiences around the globe the opportunity to experience their unique and innovative sound. From 1972 to 1980, Bob Marley & The Wailers recorded, toured, and performed before countless millions worldwide. Since 1981, Familyman has carried on the mission to “keep The Wailers together” – just as Bob requested.

Get Ready To Feel The Saturday Fever, As The Arena welcomes Disco Legends Come To Liverpool This March.

After the huge success of last year’s “40 Years Of Disco” tour Tony Denton Promotions has announced the line-up for 2019 that once more brings together disco legends for this unique arena concert.  The legendary acts confirmed to perform are Village People, The Trammps, Imagination featuring Leee John, The Gibson Brothers, The Three Degrees, The Real Thing and making a return due to overwhelming demand Odyssey.

For over four decades disco has ruled the charts and dance floors and is currently stronger and more popular than ever. The “40 Years of Disco” show is a high-energy hits only live extravaganza. Join Ballet Theatre U.K. on Friday 25th January with one of the most enchanting love stories of all time, Beauty and the Beast. Inspired by the original tale, this production is set to a stunning classical score and showcases new choreography by Artistic Director, Christopher Moore.

Southport’s Atkinson Theatre Welcomes Back Folk Icons Fairport Convention On February 1st.

With two sell-out tours in the bag last year, the iconic folk rockers Fairport Convention will return to The Atkinson in Southport on February 1st.

The legendary and award-winning group visit Merseyside as part of their 52nd year of touring, heading out on the road for over twenty live dates across the country in early 2019.

The show will also feature support by special guests The 4 of Us. Hailed as one of the most acclaimed duos in Ireland, brothers Brendan and Declan Murphy are accomplished singers, instrumentalists and songwriters After more than fifty years on the road, Fairport Convention’s passion for live performance has never wavered. This concert will showcase the band’s musical sophistication and instrumental virtuosity during a fascinating journey through their inspiring and extensive repertoire.

Fiddle Player Mikey Kenney To Launch New Album At Leaf In Liverpool.

Critically acclaimed Liverpool musician Mikey Kenney will launch his brand- new album in the city this February.

Kenney is a fiddle player and balladeer from Liverpool, whose playing is steeped in both English and Irish traditional music. Well known as a constant traveller and collaborator, Mikey is a member of the acclaimed Robert Burns’ celebration Band of Burns, lead fiddler in the Liverpool Céilí Band and at work with Italian legend Vinicio Capossela. He also directs the cross-sea Irish traditional music collective, Hop the Sea.

Liverpool Hope University’s Capstone Theatre Launches New 2019 Spring Season.

The Capstone Theatre’s new Spring Season brochures hit the stands this week. As ever the programme boasts an eclectic selection of artistic treats with concerts, dance and dramatic performances and film sceenings.

The season starts on Saturday 26th January with The Big Blind, a storytelling show fusing fairy tales from Norway, Scotland, Ireland and India with live performances of contemporary Scandinavian folk music. The following day (Sunday 27th January) Travelled Companions presents 5 More Minutes, a show for children aged 3-6 and their families.

Brit Floyd Return To Liverpool This February, As Pink Floyd’s The Wall Turns 40 In 2019.

Brit Floyd, the world’s greatest Pink Floyd tribute show, returns to the stage in 2019 with its most ambitious and best production yet, a very special 40th Anniversary retrospective of Pink Floyd’s iconic rock opera, The Wall. Released in November 1979, a semi-autobiographical concept album from the mind of Pink Floyd founding member Roger Waters, The Wall remains one of the biggest selling albums of all time, and an important moment in Rock music history.

As well as performing a host of musical highlights from The Wall, Brit Floyd will perform classic gems from The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Division Bell plus lots more.
