The Liverpool Arts Society and Studio 2 Parr Street are extremely excited to bring you the album launch of one of Liverpool’s most unique voices. Dan Wilson of The Cubical brings you his new album, Victims, with The Counterfactuals. In an old school fashion, you’ll get the full album live, from start to finish. and it doesn’t stop there, as well as your ticket you’ll receive a signed copy of the Victims vinyl.
Dan Wilson and The Counterfactuals’ album Victims is due out in March 2019. The first single, titled Leave My Baby Alone, a snarling warning to do just that was released in October 2018.
Dan Wilson, lead singer with garage/blues rock n roll band The Cubical, returns with his second solo album, following the success of All Love is Blind, this time he’s backed by a rag time army of incredibly varied musicians, known as The Counterfactuals. Dan Wilson and The Counterfactuals’ sophomore album Victims is due out in March 1st 2019. Victims is a varied and well-balanced original album that comprises doo-wap Americana infused country with stark desert blues, via the darkly hypnotic, and mournfully beautiful ballad-esque lyricism that has become part and parcel of Wilson’s inimitable style.
The Liverpool Arts Society are taking the leap from their usual setting, running immersive theatrical nights in club venues, with previous events such as Sin City, Le Cirque Magnifique & Homecoming. The company are now excited be promoting and supporting musicians across Liverpool.
Company Director, Tom Wilson said; “We’ve been big fans of what Dan has been producing for many years now, so we’re really excited to be working with Studio2 promoting his fantastic second solo album. Helping to promote and offering a platform for local artists who are creating their own work has always been at the core of our ethos and I think I can say that this sort of event is definitely something we’ll be doing a lot more of in the future.”
