Ian Skelly To Tour And Perform In Liverpool This Year.

The Coral’s Ian Skelly and his band The Serpent Power will embark on a full U.K. tour this month following the recent re-release of the critically acclaimed album Cut From A Star.

Having drummed for The Coral for over a decade Cut From A Star is Skelly’s first solo long player. The self-produced 11-track album, now available as a limited edition deluxe edition, and released on Skeleton Key Records, was recorded over the last two years at The Coral Caves on the Wirral, using a vintage Tascam tape cassette machine.

Ian Skelly may have already tasted and enjoyed incredible success with The Coral but that doesn’t mean that the man ever sits on his extensive laurels and waits for the new long-awaited album by the band to take shape. If anything he has been kept busy by the release of his own album, Cut From A Star, and whilst fans of The Coral wait patiently for a new studio album, the anticipation will be made all the more worthwhile by listening to this excellent recording.
