The Herron Brothers, Bouncing Down The Road. Single Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Whilst a comic group might have prepared you for the moment with the words, “And now for something completely different“, to hear a spring on the step of a song where you might not have expected one, will no doubt catch you by surprise, and it is rare thought, a beautiful notion that no matter how much you may feel you know an artist, how in depth your mind has gotten underneath their words and pulse, that they can still leave you dancing to a different beat, that they will have you Bouncing Down The Road with a spiral smile all over your face.

The very sense of change is what makes Art a living concept, it is what ignites the fire under our feet to insist of rebellion and revolution, a smile caught in the right moment can lead to love, can inspire the first glorious shots of  transformation; a smile captured to the right piece of art can alter our perception of Time.

Whilst nobody would suggest that The Herron Brothers new single is one that encapsulates the summer vibe, it is far too good a track for that sentiment to take hold, it nevertheless leaves the listener with enough passion to remind them that all in this world, in this present moment and circumstance, can be, and must be, overcome; and what better way that installing a track that even in the tune carried is enormously good value.

Bouncing Down The Road, you won’t be able to help yourself, The Herron Brothers have come up trumps in this new single.

The Herron Brothers will release Bouncing Down The Road on August 28th. Ian D. Hall
