Barry Briercliffe, Love Will Find A Way. Single Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 8.5/10

Love Will Find A Way, and whilst it might seem there are far too many obstacles in the way for such emotion to maintain a clear sight of its target, there is nothing that cannot be overcome by the persistence of devotion, friendship and affection; nothing that is pure and honest anyway.

It is to honesty that we must endeavour to be seen in the eyes of others, the false dawn of a thousand proposals are nothing more than sieges upon the rocks of falsehood, and to that end, Love stands no chance, love is thwarted even before it has the opportunity to hoist the sails and be done with such distractions as Helen of Troy.

Love is not bound by the thought of the physical, the lovestruck or worship from afar and penned by the teenage hearts surrounded by the memory of their first crush, it is in the beauty of weakness, of appreciation for the bold and gallant, the strivers and those who seek to leave their own handprints on society. Taken from Liverpool’s own Barry Briercliffe’s ever increasing portfolio of musical prosperity, and with a marvellous cameo in the accompanying video from the undeniable grace of Michael Starke as Barry’s manager, Love Will Find A Way is a track that alludes to both mind sets, the love for another human being, and that for the appreciation of what they do to get through life, their purpose, their drive.

It is to be remembered that what you may think of as love, is soon replaced, if you are fortunate, by a different emotion, that of respect. It is with respect that Mr. Briercliffe’s latest single release is received, a track that captures the beat and his own personality with genuine care, and that adds a specific beautiful flavour to these long August days.

Love will always find a way, but respect is earned, and Barry Briercliffe once more has shown the reason to why he is respected.
