Father Christmas At St. George’s Hall This December.

From 16th November to the 23rd December a brand new Christmas Grotto will open in one of Liverpool’s most iconic historic buildings! St George’s Grotto – an interactive Dickensian festive experience complete with a miniature train – will come alive within one of Liverpool’s most beloved landmarks, St. George’s Hall. Visitors are invited to take part in magical journey through this memorable landmark before meeting Father Christmas himself.

Opening Saturday 16th November and running every Saturday and Sunday until 14th December, and from then on every day right up until the 23rd December, St. George’s Hall’s magical Christmas interactive experience is the perfect way for children and families to revisit the Christmas of a time gone by.

This enchanting journey begins at St. John’s Lane entrance where visitors board a real Santa Express Train. Once on board passengers will be whisked through St. George’s Hall as Christmas comes alive before their very eyes, travelling through Santa’s Workshop and an authentic Winter Wonderland before excited children (and adults too) meet Father Christmas in his Grotto at the very end of their journey. Each child will receive an early Christmas present and actors and performers will bring a Dickensian Christmas scene to life, as they entertain and spread festive magic throughout this nostalgic experience; a fitting scene for Dickens’ favourite venue.

Alan Smith, General Manager at St George’s Hall said, “We can’t wait to throw open our doors for our first ever Christmas Grotto and give the children (and big kids) of Liverpool a magical festive experience steeped in history and tradition, with a real miniature train ride and a present from Santa to top it all off.”

Tickets are available to purchase on the day at St George’s Hall itself, with children’s tickets priced at £6 (accompanying adults go free!), this is the perfect way for the whole family to recapture the true meaning of Christmas.
