The Christmas schedule is such that it falls deeply into the realms of asking the viewer to remember others and the tireless work they do, it is a noble act but one in which many will find themselves just having on in the background in between munching on the last mince pie or playing a game with the children.

Living for a few thousand years would be enough for anybody of sound mind and disposition to start feeling the pressure of existence. When that person has been held captive, held hostage in a diabolical prison by the very people he saved, for over four billion years, it’s really not a surprise that the mind might fracture, that the one thing that kept the mind truly occupied during that time was the death of a much trusted and loved companion; it really is only to be certain that the mind is Hell Bent on revenge.

Into such a street comes the best of traps, the finest of well laid out plans to deceive The Doctor and which to ensnare him and make those around him accept their own final destiny and Face The Raven.

The streets of Oxford will be poorer for the fact that Lewis, one of the true greats of British Crime Drama, has been allowed to finish before its time. Robbie Lewis, a man taught by the best that the dreaming spires of Oxford could wish to have investigating its murders and foul deeds, a man to whom honour was all and a man who came back after riding into the sunset, this was a man with a past so knotted in the streets of Oxford that to lose him, the audiences might find themselves bereft and asking What Lies Tangled?
