Controversy aside, of which there is arguably plenty, the debut album from Michigan’s King 810 is a monster, a Metal python waking up in a spring loaded battering ram with the biggest headache possible and an attitude problem to match.

The latest album from Neal Morse, one of the four maestros behind Progressive Rock’s Transatlantic, is perhaps one of the most personal of his entire career.
Songs From November has all the feel of a man making peace with the world, acknowledging the past and arguably all the faults, the successes and victorious accomplishments that a life can have but which can be viewed from a distance as being less than perfect as the true victory is in the surviving and what you do and how it inspires others. Neal Morse reaches through the songs on the album a type of reflective armistice, a lasting harmony between the thoughts of the past and the hope of the future.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is a 2.5D platform adventure game available for download from the PlayStation Store for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The game is the much anticipated remake of the classic Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee from the era of the original PlayStation in 1997 with the remake finally arriving seventeen years and three generations later; the question is simply if Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty can live up to the expectations of what has went before it in the Oddworld universe.

They say there is strength in unity; it can, however that strength can be a double edged sword for in a lot of places the pride in which the artistic scene clubs together is all well and good but it doesn’t flourish because the nature of the sprawling city is not geared up to recognise the distinctiveness that resides at its heart.

In Walton prison, inmates Tony and Ike have been summoned to see the Governor Mr. Grime who has a proposition that neither can refuse. The only problem is it involves going down to the haunted tunnels to the morgue to destroy the old morgue table. However, Tony and Ike have heard the stories about the morgue table being haunted and are a little hesitant to comply, but a reduced sentence is at stake.

Studio 2 has held many a night where the audience has been gripped by the performance; it has hosted Steve Macfarlane’s outstanding Sunday afternoon slots in which the occasion is always something to look forward to. It has seen the likes of Twisted Trees, the brilliant Little Sparrow, Matt Breen and Susie Jones perform on its stage and even had the legendary Brian Nash, John Gorman, Liverpool wordsmith Peter Grant and a whole host of poets and musicians give their all within the room. It even hosted the likes of Marillion and once upon a time as they recorded one of their many albums there and yet the ambient room has surely never hosted a band like Bad Pollyanna before.
