Bleeding Edge Drummer, Makaya McCraven, Comes to 24 Kitchen Street This November.

Bleeding Edge drummer, producer, and sonic collagist Makaya McCraven will visit Liverpool’s 24 Kitchen Street on Tuesday 13th November following the release of his highly acclaimed album, Universal Beings. His previous album, Highly Rare was one of the New York Times best albums of 2017.

McCraven is one of Chicago’s savviest cultural players and a multi-talented force whose inventive process & intuitive, cinematic style defy categorization. He appears as part of a jazz quintet with fellow musicians Greg Spero (piano & organ), Irvin Pierce (vocals), Matt Gold (guitars) and Junius Paul (bass).
