Marmozets Announce May Tour Ahead Of Donwload Festival, Including Night At Liverpool Academy.

The release of Marmozet’s second album Knowing What You Know Now resulted in the young quintet heralded as one of the most important bands on the British rock scene. That reputation has been further reiterated by consistent support at Radio 1 from D.J.s including Daniel P Carter, Annie Mac and Scott Mills.

Now the band is set to prepare for it’s main stage outing at this summer’s Download Festival by playing a tour in May. The new dates add to a schedule that also includes The Community Festival (with Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines and more), TRNSMT festival, Kendal Calling, Standon Calling as well as headline shows in Dublin and Belfast as well as a night at the Liverpool Academy on May 5th.

Recorded with the legendary producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies), Knowing What You Now Know is the band’s most ambitious and accomplished offering to date. While Play, the pounding New Religion, the pulse-quickening Major System Error and the spiky Lost In Translation find MARMOZETS embracing a new intensity within their controlled chaos, the band have the courage to explore fresh territory too.

Consisting of two sets of siblings, the MacIntyres (Becca, Sam and drummer Josh) and the Bottomleys (lead guitarist Jack and bassist Will), Marmozets have built a cult underground following with a series of independently released E.P.s. Their reputation exploded after they signed to Roadrunner Records and released their debut album The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets. Praised by Q, Noisey, NME and The Guardian, it also won Kerrang!’s coveted Album of the Year award.

Tickets are on sale from the Academy Box office on Hotham Street from Friday.
