Preview Of The 82nd Masters Tournament from Augusta National in Georgia, U.S.A.

With the patrons, guests and fancy free golfers coming from beyond the gates of Augusta National, each one of the many thousands coming to see glory’s first shot, the battle is already taking place between the horns of the hopefuls that are looking to put on the green jacket and win the Masters at the special place of American golf.

Who will in the Masters in 2016 is the question on people’s lips as the big four favourites look to dominate this year’s competition. Jordan Spieth who is looking to retain his Masters victory of 2015, Jason Day who is looking to become another in the chapter books to claim the title of back to back majors of the P.G.A. Championship to the Masters, then you also have Rickie Fowler who is bidding to win his first major championship after amazing season in 2014 where he finished in the top five of all the majors in that season and then the special man, the Northern Irishman who is bidding to complete the Rory Slam; the question over the next few days will be tantalising, it will be brutal, who can win it, who will become the Masters Champion 2016. All four are all in form for glory’s first shot.

The traditional par three contest which is held on the eve of the championship, which allows the players to have fun and enjoy their surroundings before the start the war of bidding to become the Champion, might be one that gets missed by the casual viewer but it sets precedent as no golfer who has won the par three event on the Wednesday has never gone to win the actual the masters in the 81 years prior to this year’s event.

The curse of the par three has always dawned on to the player who has won this event and it is perhaps with no surprise that Rory Mcilroy has chosen to skip this year’s par three contest in order to concentrate and put all the effort into completing the Rory Slam of Golf. By doing so it could be arguably said that he is giving himself every chance to emulate the likes of Tiger Woods, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus who have gone on to the complete the grand slam of golf.

The question is now who will win this championship out of all of these golfers, who will prevail in 2016. Will it will be a rookie at their first Masters Tournament or will it be someone who has already won at Augusta National Golf Club. The sun will undoubtedly shine on someone; it is just a question of who.
