Battlefield Hardline: Robbery DLC review. X Box.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 7/10

In the downloadable content for Battlefield Hardline: Robbery players will be seeing old and new guns added to the game. Not only do premium members get new weapons to play with but guns have been added to the base game as well. Premium Members get access to more of these weaponry and gadgets. For the base guns there will be the FAMAS assault rifle for the operator class, there is the MP7 Sub Machine Gun and powerful M1 carbine which are both available for all classes. For the professional class players they will see the M82. 416 semi-automatic rifle, for the enforcer there is the SAIGA .12 semi-automatic shotgun, for the operator players see the F2000 and the RPK-12 for the criminals and the MDC for the cops and the FN57 pistol. Three new gadgets are also added to the operators’ class which are a gas launcher, the fire hazard mask making fire hazards easy to bypass and the passenger first aid to heal players in vehicles. With finally the addition of a one hit kill thrown knife.

Four maps are added to this game which will test not only the players driving but also their knowledge of the best places to go for flanking. These maps include:

The Docks: Say hello to the criminal version of Noshahr Canals from Battle Field 3. This set of docks is catching the eyes of criminals, as a shipment of cash and valuable cars are aboard. This map has versatile containers for players to jump on to take advantage of the height above the enemies.

Break Pointe: The driver’s paradise is what visual games are calling this vast map. This map is set near a beach in L.A. so there are clearly criminals about which range from a small stream cutting the map in half, to bridges linking each side for cars and trucks to use.

Precinct 7: This snowy map is the first of its kind. Not only does it feature snow into the game of hardline but also the first snow map that takes place at night. This makes it unique in the franchise of hardline. Players will be fighting over left over evidence that has been forgotten by police that just so happens to be left in an abandoned police stations.

Museum: This map is the heart of the DLC as not only is it the first fully indoors map in hardline but is without a doubt the most beautiful map in Robbery. As the name suggest this takes place in a museum and it packs so much into two levels, may it be and Egyptian room, a fossils room or even a model of space. The big feature is however, the big dinosaur bones that are not only good to look at but can be destroyed by the legs so that they come crashing down onto a helpless victim(s).

The addition of a new game mode is to be used as a team builder as this is called squad heist, this is pitting a 5v5 style into the game experience. This is a good addition to the game, especially to those that love their small, quick battles. Each squad will need to work together if they are to pull of the perfect heist or to stop it.

With Battlefield Hardline being out for over seven months now it has been under so much pressure; not only are many players calling it a “Waste of money” the P.C. society which is supposed to be the biggest community for the Battlefield franchise, is pretty much dead to many and hardly any one is playing it. However, some players are still on the last gen-consoles, this is why many are believing this to be a last gen game. In time it is to be hoped that this game will happily be brought back from the dead and enjoyed once again by fans, if not it seems that for the vast majority this arguably over hyped game will just be robbing their own money.
