You Put The Music In E.

You don’t need words to understand how I feel,

to know how engaged I consider to be involved

in the art of one sided conversation that you employ.

I take it all in and if I should desire I could shut my eyes

gently and let my ears take me to the paradise

you promise, the Heaven in which I desire and lust after

more and more each day.

Many I have loved, and I could recite their closing words to me

when they whisper down my ear with the subtly

of a kindly and benevolent God. If I close my eyes

I can let my imagination work over time and I can

even see the way they are dressed as the spotlight

heated glare would dazzle me as they offer me the chance

for untold treasure and learning.

I love the way you leave me hanging

at the crucial moment in which the crescendo has built

to the point of unexpected release,

the satisfaction of knowing that this will not be the first

or the last time you make me whimper with delight

and I happily give myself over to you my love

for you are all that matters in the end.

I admit I have loved more than one at a time,

to be as greedy as is possible is what makes the thrill

of each word such a resident beauty in my mind.

Stay there forever I beg of you.

Stay there and I will covet your meaning for ever

for who understands you more than the person

for whom the lyric inspires.
