Original Music And Film Project To Feature Host Of Breakthrough Acts.

Some of the region’s finest musical talent will be involved in an ambitious new music and film project. Recording has already begun on Operation Lightfoot’s album that will feature guest artists, co-writers and musicians from across the region.

The debut single, Eighteen, features the song’s co-writer Vanessa Murray on lead vocals and will be released in late March. The project was founded by composer/multi-instrumentalist Luke Moore and film maker/musician Rich Geraghty and launched at the highly acclaimed Threshold Festival in March 2013. Since then, momentum has gathered behind the scenes and Operation Lightfoot can already confirm the inclusion of artists such as Silent Cities, Thom Morecroft and Sophia Ben-Yousef.

Luke Moore said, “It’s great to have such a wealth of great musicians on an album that will showcase everyone’s talents. The album’s concept runs through each piece and is one that everyone can relate to, but every song and instrumental stands out on its own as it should. The opportunity to co-write with the artists to varying degrees and working with Rich on the videos and some of his material means some truly vibrant results are in store.

There will also be live performances through the year including performing live at Liverpool Acoustic’s fifth birthday show at the View Two Gallery, Mathew Street on Friday 28th February.

The Operation Lightfoot set will feature five short films made especially for the project, projected behind the live performance. Operation Lightfoot featuring Vanessa Murray will release Eighteen through Ultimate Fake Records in March 2014 Tickets for the Liverpool Acoustic show on 28th February are available from liverpoolacoustic.co.uk See more at facebook.com/operationlightfoot.
