For One Night Only, The Vagina Monologues To Be Performed At The Capstone.

This Valentine’s Day, experience an alternative and unusual treat for the day and unite for a global justice campaign at The Capstone when the venue presents a special performance of the internationally acclaimed play, The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler. Brought to Liverpool by global movement V-Day which was established by Ensler herself, to stop violence against women and girls, this special benefit reading is at the Capstone Theatre on Friday 14th February for one night only.

A hilarious and spell-binding episodic play, The Vagina Monologues will be performed in aid of Migrant Artist Mutual Aid, a local network of people who come together to produce community cultural events that aim to promote cohesion and intercultural understanding while raising money for migrants in crisis.

The acclaimed play was first performed off-Broadway by Ms. Ensler who dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences. Ms. Ensler has performed the play to great acclaim throughout the world from Zagreb to Santa Barbara, from London to Seattle, from Jerusalem to Oklahoma City. When she left the play it was recast with three celebrity monologists. The play has since been staged internationally, and a television version featuring Ensler was produced by cable television channel HBO.

Expect an evening full of laughter and drama all for a good cause.
