Liverpool’s Little Atoms To Interview Jamie Carragher And Lord Heseltine As Part Of Their In Conversation Series.

Little Atom Productions is delighted to announce the next two guests in the successful Liverpool ‘In Conversation’ Series.

Continuing the signature format, which sees guests who are natives of or have a strong connection to the city interviewed live on stage and their five favourite pieces of music performed by five separate live acts, the next two guests in the series are both hugely important to the city but for very different reasons; Liverpool F.C. legend Jamie Carragher and ex-‘Minister for Merseyside’, Lord Michael Heseltine.

Gemma Aldcroft of Little Atom Productions said, “We’ve been working to secure Jamie and Lord Heseltine for a number of months now and we’re thrilled to be able to announce both at the same time, not least because they couldn’t be more different. Despite their incredibly polarised backgrounds, these men have worked tirelessly for the city and have had a hand in the way Liverpool is perceived. We feel very proud that they have both agreed to take part. ”

L.F.C. player turned Sky pundit Carragher will take to the stage of the magnificent Concert Room in St George’s Hall on Thursday 24th April. Jamie has won many honours with Liverpool and played for his country. He has also worked hard with his 23 Foundation and Jamie Carragher Soccer Schools to help many children and families not just on Merseyside but around the world.

Jamie Carragher said, “It was great to meet with Little Atom’s Gemma and Karen and interviewer Mike Neary and to be invited along to take part in one of their events. I look forward to the event on the 24th of April, it is going to be a very interesting evening and I hope that we can also raise some funds for the 23 Foundation.”

Co-producer Karen Podesta said: “We’re so delighted to have Jamie on board. He’s a true local hero who has been instrumental in his team’s success and is greatly respected by fans and peers alike. It’s going to be an unforgettable night for Jamie and the audience…and his song choices are fantastic!”

Lord Heseltine, who was given the freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2012 for his work towards an economic revival after the Toxteth riots and continued support of the city since then, will be only the second non-native Liverpudlian to feature in the interview series on Tuesday 17th June.

Gemma Aldcroft said of the 80 year old peer: “We were asked by Max Steinberg, Chief Executive of Liverpool Vision, to produce a special ‘In Conversation’ event as part of the cultural programme of International Festival of Business and we all agreed that Lord Heseltine would be a perfect guest. He has had the most incredible political career; this plus his long standing affection and respect for Liverpool will make him a perfect guest in our opinion.”

Researcher and interviewer Mike Neary said of both guests: “I am relishing the challenge of researching and presenting evenings around two such contrasting subjects and looking behind the public face of both men.”

‘In Conversation With Jamie Carragher’ will take place in the Concert Room of St George’s Hall on Thursday 24th April (doors 7pm).

‘In Conversation With Michael Heseltine’ is on Tuesday 17th June (doors 7pm) in the same venue.

Tickets for both events are £25 and available from www.littleatomproductions.com
