Friday the 29th November sees the much anticipated release of The Vinos’ first single Bite the Bullet, which will be performed live in Zanzibar Club 9:15pm. With a glowing endorsement from George Sephton, the voice of Anfield, as “Perfect Stadium Rock” the signs are that this song will further enhance the reputation of The Vinos.
This is the lead single from their up and coming album, due to be released next year. The Vinos have been inundated with performance requests since having this single played to over 40,000 people before kick-off at Liverpool F.C.’s Anfield Stadium.
The Vinos are Grethe Borsum (vocals), Ian Riley (bass), Joel Kent (guitar) and Tim Dale (drums). Grethe Borsum is already an established artist in Liverpool and this is her newest venture. Described by one music lover in Liverpool, “As if Cleopatra herself had suddenly found herself fronting a rock band and using everything she could to ensnare the audience”, The Vinos are a band to be taken seriously, to be enjoyed immensely and above all, a band that typifies the point that music that is made in Liverpool is still the best in the U.K.
