The High Kings, Felix Dennis, Gina Yashere And Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs At The Epstein This Season.

With a spring/summer season which boasted the debut of a long-running musical, live music from internationally renowned artists and the critically acclaimed return of a Broadway show to Liverpool, The Epstein Theatre is set to announce an eclectic mix of shows for its Autumn/Winter 2013 season.

At the new season launch Rebekah Pichilingi, Epstein Theatre Manager said, “The Autumn/Winter Season continues the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the theatre on Hanover Street. By sticking to tradition we have a great variety of entertainment at the Epstein Theatre and I am pleased to announce a great line-up of comedy events this season and of course an exciting array of family entertainment.”

October kicks off in spectacular fashion on the 5th October as internationally acclaimed singers and multi-platinum artists, The High Kings are on stage live. Ireland’s folk band comprising Brian Dunphy, Finbarr Clancy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden will be bringing a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites, all while delighting old fans and new. The Liverpool Irish Festival returns for 2013 and Pádraig Rynne, Donal Lunny and Sylvain Barou will be taking to the stage on 10th October to celebrate the sound of Ireland. These three names individually would excite any traditional music fan and to see them perform together in this special festival performance is a unique opportunity which shouldn’t be missed.

Felix Dennis, one of the most popular and critically acclaimed poets of recent times, brings fine French wine and poetry readings in Did I Mention The Free Wine? 2013 The Cut-Throat Tour on the 11th October One of the highlights of the season is the arrival of music icon and pop phenomenon Dean Friedman, live in concert for one night only. On 12th October, Dean will delight audiences with songs from throughout his three-decade career, including familiar, radio hits and fan-favourites like Lydia, Rocking Chair, Woman of Mine, McDonald’s Girl and Ariel.

From one diva to another, television comedy queen and all round motor mouth Gina Yashere will be live on stage on 23rd October! A regular on television screens and one of the U.K.’s fiercest comedians, Gina will be given a roundup of the last 12 months in a way only she can….with hilarious results .

The Epstein will be a part of the European Outdoor Film Tour on 21st November with an evening which will feature a two hour, high octane programme featuring the most exciting adventure films of the year. On 22nd November, up and coming Irish musician Foy Vance will play the Epstein in support of his new album, Joy Of Nothing. From supporting the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Michael Kiwanuka, Marcus Foster, Snow Patrol, and the U.K.’s fastest rising star Ed Sheeran, you can expect something special as Foy performs live!

After months and months of build-up, the festive season heralds the return of the Epstein Christmas panto and this year LHK Productions have pulled out all the stops to make this year’s panto the must see Christmas show as one of the world’s favourite fairy tales, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, comes to the stage in a show that promises to deliver the mix of fun and traditional pantomime with a fresh and current twist which made last year’s outing a runaway success. Making her pantomime debut, Liverpool model and star of the hit T.V. show Desperate Scousewives Amanda Harrington will play The Fairy. Also joining the Snow White cast is Paul Danan , the original Hollyoaks bad boy and known for his award-winning tenure on Celebrity Love Island and looking to scheme her way to the title of ‘fairest of them all’ is comedian, T.V. star, jungle survivor and Liverpool favourite Crissy Rock as the Wicked Queen. Also, to add to the enchantment of the show the family can enjoy a magical appearance by Celebrity Superspa judge and style icon Herbert of Liverpool as the Magic Mirror. Snow White is set to be the wickedest panto around and running from Thursday 12th December 2013 till Sunday 5th January 2014 for 49 magical performances this is going to be the unmissable Christmas event of the year.
