Organised Chaos To Reign Supreme At The Lantern Theatre.

Award winning theatre company, Organised Chaos Productions, bring their latest collaboration of the North West’s finest new and emerging talent with the two successful plays from their script call last year: Broken by Ella Carmen Greenhill and A Lot Of It About by Ned Hopkins will be performed at The Lantern Theatre in Liverpool on the 10th and 11th May.

In Broken May is looking for something…a connection…a life. But is it safer to be alone? “Some people get so lost they don’t find their way at all” May meets Carla on a freezing day in January and they connect instantly. Carla likes the spring and has forgotten her gloves. May wears two pairs. Tom tells May he loves her and buys her a slush puppy, but is he too good to be true? Everything is perfect until the phone calls start. Who is calling May, why won’t they let her live her life in peace? A play about life, death and teetering on the edge, sometimes we all need to escape but just how far can we go to escape our demons?

In A Lot Of It About Ben has struggled all his life with his sexuality. Now middle-aged and in what he feels is a loveless marriage, he argues with his younger self about the events in his life that have led to him feeling worthless and unfulfilled, reliving key moments with the people concerned. But is his life really the write-off he imagines? When the debate concerning the effects of sex aversion therapy on men in the ‘60s and ‘70s recently re-surfaced it raised questions about the expectations we have of our so-called ‘caring’ society towards minorities – and our responsibilities to ourselves. A Lot of it About is based on a true story.

Tickets for A Lot Of It About and Broken are priced at £10 with concessions available at £8. Tickets for the show are available from the Lantern Theatre Box office or via www.organisedchaosproductions.co.uk
