The Playhouse Theatre Announces That Aladdin Will Be This Year’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Panto.

Get ready to be whisked away on the magic carpet ride of a lifetime as the Everyman and Playhouse announce the family favourite, the rock and roll panto, will be making its return to the Liverpool Playhouse this Christmas with Aladdin from Friday 29th November 2013 to Saturday 18th January 2014.

So dust off your spandex party pants and break out the glitter as the legendary rock ‘n’ roll panto will shake, rattle and roll at the Playhouse once more this year. Audience favourites Adam Keast and Francis Tucker will once again bring their legendary double-act to the stage thrill and soak the crowd in equal measure!

Great fun for all ages, this year’s rock ‘n’ roll panto promises music, mayhem, a sprinkling of water and a genie granting wishes as regular writers Sarah A. Nixon and Mark Chatterton take audiences on a magical mystery tour of the Orient and beyond.

The rock ‘n’ roll panto will again include an autism friendly/relaxed performance, following roaring successes of the specially-tailored performances in the last two years. This year’s show will be staged on Tuesday 14th January at 5.30pm.

The Playhouse also offers regular access performances of in-house productions. The British sign language performance of Aladdin is on Tues 7th January at 7pm, while the captioned performance is at 1.30pm on Saturday 11th January. There are two audio described performances, on Thursday 16 January at 1.30pm and 7pm.

This is 12th successive year the panto has been written by Sarah and Mark, with Mark reprising his role as director of the show that has firmly become one of Liverpool’s most beloved institutions.

Public booking for Aladdin will open on Monday 15th April. Tickets are priced at £10 – £24 with no Booking Fee. Family tickets £38 – £86.
