Radio 5 Live Brings Two Of Its Most Popular Shows To The Liverpool Echo Arena.

Iiverpool’s Echo Arena is to be the host for this year’s excursion from the B.B.C. studios as the Radio 5 Live team of Colin Murray, Robbie Savage and Mark Chapman set out to inform, educate and entertain the Merseyside crowds in the station’s most ambitious event to date on Saturday 1st June.

Carrying on from the success of the station’s much loved Saturday morning show, Fighting Talk’s Big Day Out at The Stoke City ground of the Britannia Stadium, Colin Murray, who is a very respected presenter on B.B.C.’s Match of the Day 2, will be joined by Mark Chapman and the former Crewe Alexandra, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and Welsh international Robbie Savage as well as some very special guests in an evening of sporting wit, moments of absurdity, absolute brilliant banter and a few surprises along the way.

The evening will be a return for the Fighting Talk team who have already had the pleasure of the city for their show. Alongside Fighting Talk will be a Radio 5 live iconic football phone-in, 606 alongside Jason Roberts and Darren Fletcher.

The spirit of 606 will come alive as fans have their chance to pit their wits against Robbie, Jason, Darren and Mark. Some top football names will also join them on stage as the team relive some of the key moments of the season.

Colin said, “I’m really excited to be taking the Fighting Talk family back to Liverpool for our biggest audience show ever. The shows we’ve already done in the city have been amazing so whether you’re red, blue or neither, come along and enjoy the show.”

Robbie Savage added, “After our last battle with Fighting Talk on the 5-live-a-side pitch in October ended in a draw, I’m looking forward to settling the rivalry once and for all at the Big Day Out. I know the 606 listeners will come out in force – if only to challenge me on the various issues we’ve covered this season… and what I’m wearing”.

Tickets for Radio 5 Live’s Big Day Out are available from the Ticket-quarter on Williamson Square and are priced at £12.50 subject to booking fee.

For early birds, anyone who purchases a ticket for Big Day Out before 6pm on Saturday 4th May will be automatically entered into a giveaway draw for exclusive tickets to an intimate Fighting Talk show, live from the Echo Arena, on the morning of Saturday 1st June, 11am to 12pm. Full terms and conditions are available on the Radio 5 live website.
