Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark last played in Liverpool to an ecstatic and welcoming audience as part of the celebrations at the re-opening of Eric’s, one of the city’s iconic night spots. Now after an enormously successful world tour and the superb album, History of Modern, OMD have announced that they will be back on the road in 2013 in support of their highly anticipated new album English Electric.
The new album has been described as more electro than ever and yet still unmistakably OMD with the huge soaring melodies and irresistible lyrical hooks that their fans have come to expect over the years.
The 2013 tour will start in Margate and Birmingham at the end of the April before coming to the north-west on Friday 10th May at the Manchester Academy and the expected hero home coming on Tuesday 14th May when they perform at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
For fans of the band, it’s a great chance to catch the band live once more.
