Christmas can either be an anathema to the soul, or if you are fortunate it can turn the winter period into one of joyous celebration, the message of spirituality, of throwing your life open to new experiences, of understanding that there is more to this time of year than materialism and personal gain, there is empathy, the freedom to sing, or to be silent, to listen at least to the sound of internal delight taking shape and the welcome poise of surrender to a heavenly guide.

It is always with a metaphorical warm embrace that audiences welcome back Thea Gilmore back into their live surroundings, regardless of whether it is with a full band or just on the stage with the talented Nigel Stonier, the welcome is positive and expectant, it is full of respect for the Oxfordshire raised musician and as the uncertainty of summer gives way to the chill of autumn, as the events unfold with dismay around the world, there is always the smile and the voice of a musically passionate woman to keep the home fires burning.

To be in Liverpool as a music fan you really do have to pinch yourself sometimes just to make sure that what you are feeling is true and not just a karmic evil spirit giving you a good time only to say at the end, “None of it was true, it was all a dream, how’s that for Karma; love the rest of the U.K.

When you are an accomplished and forthright musician and producer, it must be high level of instinct that drives the musical notes down the veins and out into the public arena; especially when you are opening the evening for a very talented lady who can charm the socks off an audience just by opening her mouth and letting the lush tones fall where they may.

Great Nights Out Aplenty At The Epstein Theatre This Summer.

As the summer starts to draw nearer, so does the exciting new season at the Epstein Theatre. The venue has already enjoyed an impressive start to the year, bringing a wide selection of music, comedy, plays, films and musicals to its audiences which is set to continue in their new season program.

Music lovers will be spoilt for choice as there is a vast array to whet their appetite over the coming months, starting on Saturday 10th May when the biggest night in Euro-Pop, the Eurovision Song Contest is screened live at the theatre. There will be food, music, karaoke, games and competitions and promises to be a night of glitz, glamour and hilarity for lovers of all things Eurovision.
