In Walton prison, inmates Tony and Ike have been summoned to see the Governor Mr. Grime who has a proposition that neither can refuse. The only problem is it involves going down to the haunted tunnels to the morgue to destroy the old morgue table. However, Tony and Ike have heard the stories about the morgue table being haunted and are a little hesitant to comply, but a reduced sentence is at stake.

Written By Franny Conlin, this is a story about two inmates of Walton prison, Ike and Maddox, who are propositioned by their governor, Mr. Grime to venture into the haunted tunnels beneath the prison and destroy the old morgue table.

It’s hard to find a production these days that is professionally polished and smooth to watch but still retains its personal touch; the little feeling you get when you recognise a character or two from your own life. It is possible to see audience members forget they are watching the latest production of Wild Flowers from the company of the same name. However they are and with original tunes and such developed characters, what a production it is!

Wild Flowers, Franny Conlin’s powerful play about a family torn apart due to their son crossing the picket line during the Dockers Strike of 1995, returns after a year away and will be spending two nights at the Epstein Theatre on the 29th and 30th March. This critically acclaimed play looks at the members of the Lavelle family whose son James turns away from the family and takes the path to personal destruction. It is a brutally honest play and one that deserves to be seen by a wide audience.

There are not many cities within England that reflects on its past nor has much inspired and genuine hope for its future as Liverpool. The history is there for all to see and even on the most cursory of glances by a visitor to the city at any of the walls or historic monuments dotted around will see how the years have shaped the city’s heart.
