To own another human being is an abhorrence.

It is a statement of fact, a truth that is universal, and yet often ignored by those by whose own admission they see it is a right, an admission declared for all to see without a shred of shame in their hearts, that to enslave a person, another human being, is to attain a status…it is sick, depraved, and yet still goes on in the world. Doing the right thing can quite often get you into more trouble than those who sit back and play hard and fast with regulations and common decency; no matter what the situation and how you may have saved a certain event from blowing out of all control, potentially saving lives in the process, there will always be those that will look down upon you and plot their revenge on your name and character.

It is regarded as bad form to not enjoy and fall in love with an animated film, whether by the masters of the art in Disney or Pixar, or through to the dominant Japanese Studio Ghibli, or even timeless shorts created by the Warner Brothers, it is considered almost reverential to praise the genre from the highest peek when viewing a film in which thousands of hours of work have been painstakingly thought out and applied.

The land of cliche is under constant threat of never being allowed to die in peace, to be remembered for the small annoyances, for the large discomfort felt, a hero must be seen to stand tall and have the attention of the audience, but they must be seen as being more than a two dimensional caricature which sends a signal to the audience, that the land of cliche is being primed and prepped once more for boarding.

Take the worst of the worst, the real depths of humanity’s struggle with itself and watch the fur fly, the angst become riddled with pain, glory and sabotage and you have the comic book film of the summer, Suicide Squad. A film that carries on the expanding D.C. universe and which at the back of its mind arguably sees it wanting to desperately take on Marvel at its own game.
