To trust someone is to understand their faults and understand that they may let you down, nobody is perfect after all and we all have the chance to be put in the way of temptation, be it in the way of sex, money or greed, we all the opportunity to be exploited for our mistakes and lack of at the time judgement, but it is to love someone when you know you might get hurt, when the foundations of their actions will cause you to see them in a different light.

There is always mileage in the heart of a universal play that means it never runs out of steam, it might falter and choke once in a while, it might be considered as bloated, overweight, have the wrong driver, be overwhelmed by passengers who contribute nothing to the aesthetics of the piece but on the whole it is one that often purrs along. The luxury on the outside replicated on the inside, the joy of seeing the production vehicle out on the road is a radiant sight and even when it is via the medium of television, the excitement and drama is one on which to celebrate.

If there is ever an emotive subject other than murder to bring into the world of the armchair detective, then it surely has to be the prospect of spies and counter espionage, the two realms of dark forces combined making a seemingly perfect storm in which to pit the wits against and to see who comes out on top; the writer or the viewer.
