The Matrix trilogy can be seen truly as a cultural phenomenon; admittedly one that was at its peak in the first of the films delivered to a film loving crowd wowed by its cinematography and effects, but still a series of films that asked questions of our perceived vision of reality, and how we were, and continue, to be enveloped by the idea of being repressed by a superior mind just to appear that we are indeed in control of our own destiny.

It would not be unfair, unkind or malicious to suggest, openly state, that of all the D.C. comic book heroes to have come and gone, stayed around and become iconic, Aquaman had probably the worst of starts, and continued throughout to receive unjust treatment within the realms of ideas, attention and delivery, the character was a joke, a seismic buffoon brought to life as a foil for the grittiness portrayed in the golden and silver ages of comic books.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, give it the three ringed circus appeal and dazzle the spectator with glitter, heartfelt illusion and a set of good numbers in which the audience is going to remember for a long time, add a sprinkling of stars in which to amaze and enthral and the final curtain that is raised upon the occasion, is sure to be a hit.
