St Helens Theatre Royal are putting out the red carpet as a number of familiar faces take centre stage in what is set to be a star-studded spring/summer 2014 season. From chart topping singers, to award-winning actors alongside some of the U.K.’s best loved entertainers, 2014 is set to be a year to remember and one not to be missed!

The Music Of Buddy Holly Returns To The Liverpool Empire In 2014.

Celebrating an amazing 25thyear anniversary with a 2013-14 U.K. and The Republic Of Ireland’s national tour, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story proves that whilst there have been many imitators over the years, this show – that inspired a generation multi-million selling juke-box musicals including Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You – remains the true original and a musical phenomenon.

Today, the first of 2014’s dates are announced as Buddy is set to open in the New Year and will be at the Liverpool Empire from 13th – 15th March 2014. The tour rocks on around the U.K. from next spring with dates including Bromley, York, Stoke, Darlington, Derby, Brighton, Aylesbury and Richmond.

On 21st February, That’ll Be the Day, the ultimate feel good performance and the nation’s favourite rock and roll variety show, stops off at St. Helens Theatre Royal for the very first time as part of a massive national tour.

Nostalgia, music and comedy top the bill with this hugely entertaining rock ‘n’ roll spectacular which features an all new line up of knock-out hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, mixed with loads of new zany comedy routines to produce a show with a real feel good party atmosphere.
