Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

If there were medals for coaxing the sunshine back into the day and dismissing the rain that soaked Liverpool for the best part of a couple of hours, then Shoes4brakes would be arriving home with more decorations than Usain Bolt coming back from China with his tied around his waist and with Mo Farrah’s secretly stashed in his holdall.

The weather of course is but a side show to the main event, the collective power of wonderful persuasion that the twosome bring to the stage should not be easily dismissed, for to do so plays scorn upon the whole Liverpool music experience and that is something which should be sought out and spanked for its impudence and dishonour.

K’s Choice, The City Of Music Two. Album Review.

The humble compilation album can take many forms. In now what seems at times the dim and distant past, as distant to the younger generation coming through now as Sir Edmund Hilary’s and Tenzing Norgay’s ascent of Everest to those growing up in the 1970s, the past when to have your say in music meant taking the pick of the songs you may have proudly bought or even embarrassingly hidden away due to the absurdity of the song and placed onto a C90 tape and perhaps even then handed over with much ceremony to the person you perhaps fancied, the compilation stood for something pure.

They say there is strength in unity; it can, however that strength can be a double edged sword for in a lot of places the pride in which the artistic scene clubs together is all well and good but it doesn’t flourish because the nature of the sprawling city is not geared up to recognise the distinctiveness that resides at its heart.

Austrian Guitar Sensation To Hold U.K. Launch Of New Album In Liverpool.

Austrian guitar sensation Tom Strasser will be holding the U.K. launch of his new album at Liverpool Acoustic Live on Friday 27th June 2014 at Mathew Street’s View Two Gallery.

Tom Strasser last played in Liverpool in August 2012 and caused FATEA Magazine reviewer Peter Cowley to write “Fabulous stuff – if you ever get the chance to see Tom, do so, because he will blow you away.” Tom is currently touring Europe to promote his new album Second Thoughts and has chosen Liverpool as the place to launch it in the U.K.
