Perceive more than realise,
Are capable of more than we expect,

When an “ordinary” human,
Suddenly finds they have the powers
To turn them into a superhero,

A violent fire
That burns those closest
Causing irreparable damage,
I will find a way to regain control,
To focus this new found power,
To put it to good use,
To find my own place in the world
Or change the world to create my own space,
For all who said no,
You can’t, won’t, don’t,
It’s not possible,
You never will,
It’s in your head,
You’re not capable,
It’s just a whim,
You’ll give up, give out, give in
For all those who stopped me before I started,
For those who stopped me dreaming,
Who made me content with just O.K.,
Who made comfortable too comfortable,
