We befriend people in many ways, sometimes we find ourselves with a group of people based on need, desire, or common interests, we keep those people with us, the shared history becoming a tight bond, a hopefully long lasting and mutual love that sees goals accomplished and tears wiped away by a considerate mate, a pal to whom has your best interests at heart.

Independence Day: Resurgence, Film Review. Picturehouse@F.A.C.T., Liverpool.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 7/10

Inevitable when you think about it, of course there would be a sequel to the glossy and fun Independence Day, the story line was just too enjoyable and fairly bonkers to not have left a film child behind somewhere in the dark, salivating over the prospect of taking a cinema audience on the road to yet another round with creatures from beyond our universe.

There are some films that offer so much on paper that once seen you cannot understand how it was possible to be regarded as such a let-down as a cinematic experience. Such is the twisted fate of The Fifth Wave, such is the divine introspection available to all when viewing something that arguably would have worked better as a television special spread over three nights.
