Cast: Helen Carter, Paul Duckworth, Paige Fenlon, Jonathan Markwood, Alan Stocks, Keddy Sutton, Les Dennis, Tom Connor.

The internet made having a flutter on the internet something of a secret, the ability to stay at home whilst playing a game of bingo offered a sense of obscurity and privacy, a seclusion from reality. Rather than being a social experience, gaming, having fun, became a solitary pursuit, unedifying, a sense of the in complete; and one exacerbated by recent effects and situations to which many have yet to grasp the full implications.

If there is an occupation that typifies the city of Liverpool, which the British public think of first when asked what job symbolises the city that gave The Beatles to the world, then surely without doubt the job of the Stevedore or the Dock worker would come out on top.

Midsomer Murders, The Christmas Haunting. Television Review. I.T.V.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 7/10

Cast: Neil Dudgeon, Fiona Dolman, Gwilym Lee, Tazmin Malleson, Les Dennis, Emily Joyce, Perdita Avery, Elizabeth Berrington, Nadia Cameron-Blakey, Pamela Betsy Cooper, Paul Blair, Anthony Farrelly, Mark Heap, James Murray, Nikesh Patel, Jonah Russell, Hannah Tointon, Susie Trayling.

It is a good job that the county of Midsomer is a fictional region. Not because of the many murders, ever intriguing, ever inventive. It is the abundance of the Detective Sergeants that pass through the doors of the Police Station in Causton that make the programme, though entertaining and almost compulsive viewing, a baffling place in which regular continuality strikes real terror in the community.

Jigsy, Theatre Review. Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool.

Les Dennis in Jigsy.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * * *

Seen through the eyes of one man, a jovial lecture from one of the kings of Liverpool comedy as he reminisces about the old days on stage and the old ways of his beloved home city, Jigsy has seen them all, drank with the best and poked gentle and perhaps deserving fun at some of them too.
