The Truce, E.P. Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

It is remembered as a point in time in which Humanity gained a little perspective in a world that had gone completely and utterly insane. The leap of faith in which hundreds of soldiers, who only hours before had been shooting at each other in a conflict that none of them truly understood the reason for which it was being fought, met in the middle of a scrap of Earth called No-Man’s Land and declared a truce that would have lasting repercussions and the small smile of peace installed in the hearts of generations to come. The Truce was the moment in which peace broke out and man put down his weapon against all that had gone before him.

Lovehistory And St. George’s Hall Combine To Show The Secret Past Of Liverpool’s Grand Building.

Coming out of the front entrance of Lime Street Station in Liverpool your eyes cannot but help be drawn to the grand building opposite you. The whole of Liverpool opens up before the discerning visitor, the music fan on a pilgrimage to Matthew Street, the eagle eyed tourist, those who decide to make the city their home and those coming home to the city of culture; none can surely be anything but impressed by the sight of St. George’s Hall as it dominates the skyline and the thoughts of a 160 years of memories, celebrations, powerful speeches and those who lost their lives in the bowels of the building.

Voices Of Angels, Songs For Christmas. Various Artists. Album Review.

For the second time this year, many people across Liverpool and beyond have thrown their weight behind something extraordinary in aid of the chosen charities for the Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s 2013-14 charity fundraiser.

Following on from the magnificent The Battle of The Atlantic C.D., the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Mr. Gary Millar, and a vast array of musicians and producers have bought out a Christmas album, which not only tugs at the heart strings wonderfully but also reproduces a real meaning of the season, not one of vast nameless companies making unfathomable profit in which to allegedly put into off shore accounts, but one of hope and feeling for everyone we come across.

Malmaison Plays Host To The Launch Of Liverpool Pride 2013.

The Malmaison may have seen many sights in its short while in the city but the hotel and the staff could be forgiven if the sight of Gotham City’s finest crime fighting unit, Batman and Robin, handing out the programme of events ahead of the launch of this year’s Liverpool Pride to all, was one that had by-passed them…until today.

The reason for the dynamic duo, in reality Matt Belfield as Bruce Wayne’s alter ego and Dan Hicklin, suitably attired as his partner Robin, was soon apparent as Liverpool Pride this year will take over the City Centre superhero style on Saturday 3rd August.

Battle Of The Atlantic, 70th Anniversary Charity Album. The Lord Mayor Of Liverpool’s Charity Album 2013/2014.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * * *

To commemorate Councillor Gary Millar becoming The Lord Mayor of Liverpool a unique C.D. has been produced for The Lord Mayor’s Charity appeal. Aptly as it also is the 70th Anniversary of one of Britain’s defining moments as well as the City of Liverpool’s then Battle of the Atlantic, 70th Anniversary Charity Album is a special C.D. to buy, as well as being full of incredible covers of the songs that saw Britain through the dark days of the World War Two.
