Whilst Marvel has done a sterling job in promoting the female superheroes of its comic book archive, it perhaps has not done quite enough to capture the same feeling of warmth and inclusion generated by the television shows that house the most valued possessions of it main rival, D.C. Comics.

Just because the threat to national security is not to be seen, doesn’t mean it’s not there. The same goes it seems for television programmes; just because they are not on every week and being part of the nation’s lunch time natter, doesn’t mean that stories haven’t been envisaged, it just means that when the opportunity strikes, it is wheeled out without due recourse or consideration.

Doctor Who, Army Of Death. Big Finish Audio Play 155 review.

Army of Death is the final release of 2011 and brings together Paul McGann and Julie Cox together for the third time. After the two previous stories, The Silver Turk and The Witch from the Well, being so well written and crafted together, there could be a drop off in the style, a rush to get this season’s trilogy over with and for Big Finish to concentrate on the next set of stories involving Colin Baker’s Doctor and his new companion.
