Dana Fuchs, Love Lives On. Album Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 8.5/10

A new beginning is not always enough to see the scars disappear from view, however, it makes them easier to bear, the load seemingly shared between the consciousness and the heart, the memories fade, they become hopefully less aggressive, they lose their bite and the snarl dies down to a whimper, but in the soul, the fury gains momentum, that new beginning is purely the symphony ready to build up the tension, to strike up the band and let the haze clear; it is all that is needed to show that Love Lives On.

Dana Fuchs, Songs From The Road. Album Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Roads are there to be travelled, no matter how long and straight it looks, it will lead somewhere. The road to Hell paved with good intentions, the sunny side of the street or the enclosed, tempting and quiet cul-de-sac in which you may never depart; all have their points of interest and all should contain a reason to be there. For the superbly talented Dana Fuchs the road is one in which Ruf Records have placed her vibrant live set down for all to hear and in Songs From The Road everything sounds sweet, vivacious and only enhances the Florida musician’s reputation.

Dana Fuchs, Bliss Avenue. Album Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Where others fall and drown in their lyrics, Dana Fuchs takes it all in her stride. With a voice that endears itself to the listener as she soaks up the intensity and passion afforded by the generous musicianship by Jon Diamond, Jack Daley, Shawn Preston and the superb Glenn Patscha and in return her gravelly smoky voice blows tenderness up the backside of those who might dare to dismiss her and her latest album, the fantastic Bliss Avenue.
