To compare the same play by the same performer two years apart is to open yourself up to folly and yet as audience member rose in appreciation at the end of Lewis Bray’s magical return of his play Cartoonopolis, as they revelled as one in the life of boy to whom cartoons are a special friend, there can be no doubt that this is one of the most exceptional plays crowds are likely to see this year.

To want to escape the pressures of modern life is completely understandable, the way the world is at the best of times it’s hard to fit in, it’s demanding on the soul to try and keep up with the ever changing and fast, frenetic pace of it all and it’s no wonder that we are urged to find, to discover that happy place in which all our troubles can be forgotten for a while, in which making sense of our own identity is the main priority.

Off The Ground Theatre Bring The Musketeers To Life This July And August.

Off the Ground Theatre are busy sharpening their rapiers, practising lunges and flirting outrageously in preparation for this summer’s touring production of The Musketeers. There will be overwhelming amounts of swash and buckle as the, now slightly older, heroes with a little help from Athos’ son and D’Artagnan’s daughter, charm women (and some men), quaff wine and fight off Spanish and Dutch spies- all in the name of France.
