It might have been some years since Blink 182 had ventured to Liverpool, that they had taken The Echo by storm and left an indelible mark, the vibrant tattoo of youth, creative exposure and the insatiable pounding in the heart, for all to wear like a badge of honour for the following weeks as knowing glances and excited conversation took place around town and in the infancy of social media.

The state on the edge of the world, from the end of land, one constantly under the pressure of fissures and the prospect of annihilation, one place never too far from the self appointed big one, California is a place in which dreams are hatched, made reality, loved and ultimately destroyed by greed and the need for constant re-invention.

One year on from when the three musicians that make up the popular American Rock band Blink 182 should have been on stage at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus  stepped up from behind the falling blackout curtain and proceeded to give the audience an absolutely thrilling show.
