So much history is yet truly to be filmed, so many stories, so many acts of heroism, of despair and pivotal moments throughout the times have yet to make it to the screen for it be acknowledged as kind of Universal truth, yet it seems the more we know, the more we have lost, the less there is defining us in the present day.

Much is made of the hero, the person who can look insanity in the face and treat it with kindness, who can see the horror of war and find the grace to be compassionate to those who perhaps don’t deserve it but give each soul the benefit of their own internal wisdom.

For all the good Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst bought to the Spiderman films of the previous decade, there is huge appeal in watching Andrew Garfield play the Marvel Comic book hero and the excellent Emma Stone as the immensely enjoyable Gwen Stacy in the latest Amazing Spider-Man film.
