All We Are, Gig Review. ALoft Hotel, Liverpool.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Only All We Are could be magnificent enough, dare to be different enough, to play venues in Liverpool that nobody else might ever think of. If a night in Williamson Tunnels on the edge of town, a venue more in keeping for the wake that was held for the much missed British horror writer James Herbert, was taken with as much seriousness and endeavour as performing for others might approach a night at the Echo Arena, then to play a selection of songs inside a hotel is to be considered just as different and inspiring.

All We Are, Gig Review. 02 Academy, Liverpool.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * *

It may not have been the sort of homecoming All We Are may had expected as they took to the stage at the 02 Academy in Liverpool but on a night when Everything Everything unfortunately postponed their gig at the last minute, there was no doubting just how fantastic the threesome of Guro Gikling, Richard O’ Flynn and Luis Santos have become

Opening up for Everything Everything on tour had been enjoyable; it was visible in the eyes of all three musicians as they played their music with an added exuberance, an extra zip in which they took full advantage of and above all shone as their self-belief showed for the audience to revel in.

Lewis Fieldhouse, Born Human, Raised Human. E.P. Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * *

Sat in front of a stereo, or stood in a venue under the glaringly sympathetic eye of the performer   and listening to music is perhaps the best slice of Heaven any human being can hope to have. It transcends almost any other pursuit save actually playing the often exquisite notes and receiving the nods of hopeful approval from the listener. Although the word divine brings up the idea of something celestial or perceived God-like state, it is as close to the delight you feel when listening to Lewis Fieldhouse’s new E.P.  Born Human, Raised Human.

The Hummingbirds, Gig Review. The Atkinson, Southport.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * *

They are one of the great young bands and artists that call Liverpool their home. Alongside many others that in the last few years have made the city’s music addicts sit up and take notice of the new and tremendously exciting breed coming through, such as All We Are, Stealing Sheep, Path Unknown, Joe Symes and The Loving Kind, Only Child, Mono L.P.s, Matt Breen, Buckle Tongue, Rob Vincent and Carrianne Hayden, The Hummingbirds name has travelled far and wide, beyond the metaphorical city walls and out into the open world. People outside the city have once more discovered what makes Liverpool tick like no other in the U.K. and perhaps in the world.

All We Are, Gig Review. Leaf, Liverpool Sound City 2013.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

All We Are have been away from the stages and venues of Liverpool for a while and it is fair to say that the audiences have missed this eclectically brilliant band from their schedule of groups to see live. With Leaf having kicked off their weekend of music in the Sound City 2013 with some superb music, some that might be impossible to replicate again it was that good, there are very few groups that could have matched the intensity of what had gone on before but then there are very few bands like All We Are.

The Williamson Tunnels might not be the first venue in Liverpool that springs to mind when thinking of places to hold a gig, even within the city of Liverpool, it can be a surprise to people who have lived here for years that it holds within its brick walls the ability to host some amazing gigs. It was also no less than perfect for one of Liverpool’s most favourite adopted sons, Richard O’Flynn and his new band All We Are.

You can count on the fingers on one hand the amount of bands that could get away with playing a video of their latest single at the start of a gig, that figure would be greatly reduced to one once you get to see the phenomenal All We Are on You Tube.

All We Are, We Hunt. E.P. Review.

L.S. Media Rating *****

All We Are…are simply phenomenal and this comes across in the new E.P. We Hunt which was launched at the unlikely setting of St. Brides Church in Liverpool. Accompanied by an extremely good video for the song Trainspotting which delves into the world of 1940’s Film Noir, We Hunt is an E.P. that deserves nothing but the highest praise.
