Alexx Calise, Breathe, Single Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Take stock and Breathe, perhaps now more than ever the world simply has to breathe and not be fooled into believing everything has a quick fix, this is not a sink hole in Japan, it is real life, astonishing, beautiful and at times a whole lot scary but still life.

It is a life that has carried the music of Alexx Calise across the Atlantic Ocean and back, has made her a much sought after name to listen to in her native homeland, in all the guises and musical hats that she has been part of and throughout it all she has breathed and kept her heart open and as she releases her latest single, Breathe, she once more offers the sense of the dramatic within the hands of the sensational.

Alexx Calise, Wasting Away. Single Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 8.5/10

There are reasons why the Universe never seems to be in sync with how reality should be perceived; it is a fundamental law that it is lop-sided, askew and quite cruel. Like Time, it offers humanity the barest glimpses of something beautiful and then hides it away from the vast majority of the world and shrouds it in a gilded veil that many will not venture beyond their sofas to see. It is the Universe’s technique of allowing some to be seen as Wasting Away.

Alexx Calise, AC3. E.P. Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * * *

Alexx Calise, the Californian based musician whose life is as interesting as her music is wild, enthusiastic and stunning, has released her new E.P., simply titled AC3 and as usual her dedication to her music is nothing short of outstanding.

With two solo albums behind her and to much critical acclaim and an absolute belter of a recording with Dennis Morehouse for the Sound of Cancer album Vampires in Gilroy, there could have been a lot of intense pressure on Ms. Calise to go even further than before and go off the scale.

Alexx Calise, In Avanti. Album Review.

It’s not often an album drops through your letter box from an artist that you have never heard of but who has heard of you. What do you do with said CD; you might put it on once, listen attentively for a while and then put it in your collection, never to be heard again.

To do this to the album In Avanti by Florida born and Californian based Alexx Calise would be nothing short of a shame, it is a stunning piece of work by someone so young and so very obviously talented.

L.S. Media Rating *****

The name Alexx Calise might not mean a lot to the music lovers in Britain, yet. However this multi-talented woman who has had two critically acclaimed solo albums including the tremendous In Avanti has teamed up Dennis Morehouse to form the band Sound of Cancer and the result is astonishing. The combination of these two separate and maverick style musicians have produced an album of such daring and insanely good quality that it makes you wonder why it took so long to come up with No Vampires in Gilroy.
