Accept, The Rise Of Chaos. Album Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating * * * *

The world will end in chaos, confusion and turmoil, regardless of how we see ourselves as an intelligent species, no matter that we have managed to shape the way we see our destiny, somehow what is real, what is absurdly convincing, is that all is eventually dust, all is headed towards extinction; not that we should accept this only possible outcome but whilst The Rise of Chaos is inevitable we arguably should at least that art/music/ anything that makes sense, can ease the burden, can release the tension found in a single person’s heart and hope it spreads like a vaccine, that the galloping drums of pure music and well laid out lyrics can stop the pain.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

Sometimes you just have to let the bull rage, let the colossus of the animal world snort and devastate even the most delicate of china shops in the cause of smashing a few plates. That bull, the beast that can rip open a refusing ear at 200 yards, stares out from the front of the latest, and phenomenally brilliant, album by Accept and the Blind Rage of lyrical fury and crazed wrath crashes through the barrier between stereo and thought and holds the soul hostage till it realises that anger is not a fashion statement; it is deep, honest and fruitful.

Arguably one of the best Heavy Metal bands to come out of Germany, Accept have released one of their finest albums in years and even though to the person who dips in and out of the genre and whose knowledge stops at the moment where “it becomes too loud” it has to be said they are missing out on an album of incredible intensity and sublime electric guitars coupled with lyrics that dig beneath the heart of any metal fans psyche and the reason why the music speaks to more and more fans.
