For those of a certain age and those that have come across it thanks to video, D.V.D. and repeats on the small screen, the love story between Gomez and Morticia is as romantic as it is funny, the family is as cooky as they are creepy and anything goes in their lives as long as the family plays and works together.
St. Helens Theatre is proud to present The Addams Family – The Musical, brought to life before a West End Run by special arrangement with amateur group the Pilkington Musical Theatre Company which is being hailed as a perfect Halloween treat for the whole family.
Based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, made famous in the 1960’s hit T.V. comedy series, The Addams Family – The Musical features an original story – and it’s every father’s worst nightmare!
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate Princess of Darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something that he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night when they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
Can love conquer all, or will the differences between the two worlds be just too much to overcome?
